“I wrote ‘Drizzle Drizzle’ in summer 2020 back at home in Cumbria, and it’s about the parallel between changing weather and changing moods- about the slightly melancholic elation of feeling the warm summer rain.

In West Cumbria we can get loads of rain and fast-changing weather, but then so often by the time the sun is going down, the sky turns an amazing pink and it’s this glorious sunset with lit-up diaphanous clouds.
‘Drizzle Drizzle’, for me, really captures that atmosphere, and in the intro you can hear my mum talking about the wisps of pink as we stood out watching the sky.”
